Pharmacy Neglect Resulting in Brain Injury
Allendale, SC -- Mr. Myers, with co-counsel, represented a man who suffered a severe brain injury from an allergic reaction to a drug containing hydrochlorothiazide. The drug was prescribed by a physician and filled by the pharmacy despite their knowledge that the patient had a history of a prior severe allergic reaction to hydrochlorothizide and sulfa. This pharmacy misfill/medical malpractice case was settled for $3.65 million.
