Mishandling of Bile Duct Surgery Resulting in Severe Injury
Dillon, SC -- Mr. Fulda and Mr. Myers represented the estate of a woman who suffered an injury/cut to her common bile duct during the surgical removal of her gallbladder (laparoscopic cholecystectomy). Mr. Fulda and Mr. Myers were able to show that the surgeon failed to recognize signs and symptoms of a bile duct injury and take appropriate action to correct the injury. The patient ultimately died as a result of the common bile duct injury. A wrongful death settlement of $400,000 was achieved.
